The Jaguar I-Pace electric crossover is reportedly set to be discontinued before the automaker’s relaunch as an all-electric brand in 2025. JLR CEO Adrian Mardell confirmed this decision, which goes against the previous suggestion that the I-Pace would continue alongside Jaguar’s next-generation electric vehicles.
The I-Pace has contributed to the development of Jaguar’s future EVs and has helped the company understand how to develop battery-electric vehicles. Jaguar’s future all-electric lineup is expected to have “exuberant” proportions with long wheelbases, and the brand will have its own bespoke electric architecture called JEA. The first next-generation EV is expected to debut in late 2024.
