Rivian Offers Ready-Made R1T EVs with Shorter Delivery Times
California-based electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Rivian is offering customers ready-made R1T configurations with shorter delivery times compared to custom builds. These pre-configured R1T EVs come with the Large Pack battery and Rivian’s dual-motor drivetrain.

1. Reduced Delivery Times: By offering pre-configured R1T models, Rivian aims to reduce delivery times significantly. Customers can receive their ready-made EV in as little as one week, compared to the typical four-month wait time for custom orders.
2. Selection of Pre-Made Models: Rivian’s online shop now features a selection of ready-made R1T models with the Large Pack battery and dual-motor drivetrain. These pre-configured models can be delivered quickly.
3. Lower Prices: Some of the pre-configured R1T EVs in Rivian’s inventory are priced lower than custom-built versions. Prices for these ready-made R1Ts start at $72,500 for certain configurations, which is notably lower than the current starting price of $84,000 for custom builds.
4. Dual-Motor Drivetrain: Rivian’s dual-motor drivetrain, known as Enduro, is developed and manufactured in-house by the company at its factory in Normal, Illinois. This drivetrain offers impressive performance and range for the R1T.
5. Large Battery Pack Range: With the Large Battery pack and dual-motor setup, the Rivian R1T can achieve a range of up to 352 miles on a full charge when equipped with 21-inch road tires. The range varies slightly with different tire options, with an EPA-estimated range of 341 miles on 22-inch road tires and 307 miles with 20-inch all-terrain wheels.
6. Additional Battery Options: In addition to the Large Battery pack, Rivian offers two more battery options: the Standard Battery pack with an EPA-rated range of 270 miles and the Max Battery pack with a maximum range of 410 miles (with 21-inch road tires).
