Volkswagen has introduced the 2024 ID.6 Crozz electric SUV, an updated version of its three-row electric SUV. The new ID.6 Crozz features improved range, design updates, and a starting price of approximately $35,500 (258,900 yuan).
The ID.6 Crozz is produced by Volkswagen’s joint venture (JV) with FAW, one of two JVs in China, with the other being SAIC-VW. When Volkswagen releases a new model, both companies manufacture and sell it under different names. For instance, FAW-VW produces the ID.4 Crozz and ID.6 Crozz, while SAIC-VW sells the ID.4 X and ID.6 X. Currently, the ID.6 is only available in China.
The 2024 Volkswagen ID.6 Crozz features slight design enhancements to improve aerodynamics, with four exterior color options available: blue, orange, gold, and white. The interior is equipped with a 12-inch center control screen, a 5.3-inch instrument panel, and an augmented reality (AR) head-up display. Many physical buttons have been replaced with on-screen controls. The MOSC 4.0 system has been updated to support voice interaction and online navigation.
Seating configurations can accommodate up to seven passengers, with options for two rows of two, two rows of three, or two rows of two plus a rear row of two. The ID.6 Crozz is available in four trim levels: Pure, Pure+, Pro, and Prime (AWD).
FAW-VW is currently offering a limited-time discount of up to $6,200 (45,000 yuan) on the 2024 ID.6 Crozz. This launch follows recent price reductions on the ID.4 Crozz and ID.3 by FAW-VW in an effort to boost sales in China.
