Tesla has added a genuine blind spot indicator to its Model 3 Highland refresh in the EU, addressing a feature often requested by drivers. The blind spot indicator is located inside the speaker grille next to the A-pillar on the driver’s side. When a vehicle is detected in the blind spot while changing lanes, this indicator lights up, providing a visual warning to the driver.
However, it’s worth noting that this feature has so far been observed on the driver’s side only, and it’s unclear if it will be added to the passenger side as well in the future. This addition aims to improve safety and driver awareness, aligning Tesla’s Model 3 with a standard feature found in many other vehicles. Tesla has not indicated whether this feature will be added to other models or regions in the future.
