The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV is now open for orders, and reservation holders have started to receive personalized configuration links to design and purchase their all-electric Blazer SUV.
Chevrolet generated significant excitement when it announced the Blazer EV at CES 2022. At that event, the spotlight was on the Chevy Blazer EV Super Sport (SS) trim, marking the automaker’s first electric model to receive a performance-focused variant.
Following the official unveiling of the electric Blazer last summer, Chevrolet introduced four trims: 1LT, 2LT, RS, and SS models, along with a police pursuit vehicle (PPV) option.
However, Chevrolet recently decided to discontinue the 1LT trim, making the 2LT variant the new base model. This change reflects the company’s strategy to streamline its offerings for the Blazer EV.
The initial Blazer EV models began shipping to the United States from General Motors’ Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico in July, in preparation for deliveries to customers.
Chevrolet also updated the 2024 Blazer EV pricing details. The 2LT AWD trim starts at $56,715, and the RS AWD begins at $60,215, both with an EPA-estimated range of 279 miles on a full charge.
The 2LT AWD variant represents the more affordable entry point for the electric Blazer, starting at $56,000 or potentially less than $50,000 for eligible customers when factoring in the federal EV tax credit of up to $7,500.
Reservation holders for the Blazer EV have started to receive emails with personalized configuration links, allowing them to convert their reservations into orders. They can choose from the 2LT AWD or RS AWD variants in this initial order phase.
Chevrolet has also announced that additional options will become available in the near future. Notably, the high-performance SS trim, boasting 557 horsepower and rapid 0-60 mph acceleration times of under 4 seconds, was expected to be among the first trims released. However, its launch has been pushed back to spring 2024. Prices for the SS trim are anticipated to start at $65,995.
Additionally, the Blazer EV RS RWD version is set to debut in the fall, featuring an estimated range of 320 miles and a starting price of $61,790.
This expansion of Blazer EV trims reflects Chevrolet’s commitment to providing a variety of options to suit different preferences and needs among electric vehicle buyers.
